NIHR’s Committee on General Rights and Freedoms is Convenes its 13th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on General Rights and Freedoms has convened its 13th regular meeting under the chairpersonship of Dr. Fawzeya Saeed Alsaleh and membership of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and Mr. Ahmed Subah Alsaloom.
The Committee opened its agenda by reviewing the course of the visit conducted by a delegation of the NIHR to Bahrain Chambre of Commerce and Industry, and discussing issues raised with representatives of the Chambre and the Ministry of Interior on the mechanisms of implementing the Law on Alternative Sanctions and Measures for the beneficiaries from convicted people, where the NIHR delegation suggesting forming a working group comprising all the three parties, to establish a number of proposals and study appropriate solutions, mechanisms and controls to involve the private sector in implementing the Alternative Sanctions and Measures Programme.
